Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Resonsibilities

Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing explanations and recommendations for improvement.
General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes efficiently.
Compliance and Regulation:
- Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Assist in the preparation for external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
Taxation:
- Prepare and file various tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Provide support during tax audits and collaborate with external tax advisors.
Cash Management:
- Manage cash flow by monitoring banking activities and reconciling bank statements.
- Optimize working capital and propose strategies for cash flow improvement.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend analysis, to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and present financial reports to management.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance department.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting and finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
